A holiday in Klosters is a great

event for the whole family.

A special experience for you!

Klosters is located at 1200 m (3900 ft) over sea level, surrounded by a fantastic mountain chain, the Silvretta massif and glaciers, at the end of the Prättigau valley. The intact nature and the unique charm of a typical Swiss mountain village are the incomparable setting for a relaxed and agreeable holiday you’ll never forget.

Since many years Klosters has enjoyed the reputation of a first-class and internationally well-known holiday resort.

It is the perfect place for people who are passionate about sports. Klosters offers nearly unlimited possibilities for any kind of sports activities.

A large number of ski slopes, snowboard halfpipes and cross-country tracks in Klosters and the surrounding area are waiting for you during the winter season. There is much variety for sport and relaxation. The well-known skiing areas Gotschna and Madrisa are practically at your doorstep and easy to reach. You can enjoy all their modern and excellent technical installations, many exciting ski runs and mountain walks as well as quiet places for sunbathing. Or maybe you prefer a romantic horse-drawn sledge ride through the snow-covered winter scenery? The open-air ice rink is ideal for skating, ice hockey and curling. And in the evenings you meet in one of the typical rustic Grisons restaurants and cosy après-ski bars with unique flair or just relax in the personal atmosphere of your own comfortable holiday apartment.

During the summertime, Klosters is a little more quiet and particularly inviting as the mountains offer a stunning scenery with lush green forests and meadows. On your hiking/biking excursions or mountaineering trips on glaciers and summits, you will experience the fascination of a wonderful mountain world and discover many new ways of life. The heated outdoor swimming pool, the tennis courts, a marvelous alpine golf course, squash and paragliding are complementing the diverse possibilities Klosters has to offer. Mountain bikers can test their skills on the spectacular Gotschna Freeride Piste. One of the new attractions is the biggest theme park of Switzerland: The Madrisa Land. Children of any age relish the entertaining games and exciting adventures. The Madrisa Land is also accessible for physically handicapped and partially sighted people. A theme park without limits.

Klosters also offers a wide cultural life. In the «Kulturschuppen» near the railway station you can enjoy movies, theatre, jazz concerts, readings and lectures. The Cultural Committee of Klosters also organises superb classical concerts in the protestant church of St. Jakob.

The shopping facilities in Klosters or in Davos (13 km away) are manifold and you will find a good choice of shops and stores with Swiss specialities and world-famous brand-name products.

You can travel to Klosters very easily by car or by train from Landquart. The RhB (The Rhaetian Railway) offers trains every hour.
